Costa Rica 2010

So this is how this all went down. As the available days were going away the three of us sat one Sunday evening to see what was possible to do in a short amount of time. The answer; Costa Rica! So off to the airport Em went and when she came back she had two sets of tickets; Jet Blue and Frontier, both in case we got stuck in one place and had options of going another route. It's standard procedure for traveling "non-rev" or so we're learning. We left Monday morning, made the correct connections out of Denver and were in San Jose CR by 5am Tuesday morning.

Understand this, when we are traveling we generally do quite a bit of research: where to stay, how to travel, sites to see. On this quick trip, we had NO idea. Heck, our other two daughters and extended family didn't even know we were leaving the country, it happened that quick.
Once in San Jose, we took the taxi, 30.00 us, to the downtown Hotel
that we found while laying over in Denver. Again, the money spent on this trip would not have happened if we had had the time to check things over. And yes, I'd like to do it again just to try the "found" ways out.
Below I hope you enjoy some of this countries beauty that we found during our brief stay. We found it to be clean, friendly, safe, accessible, but not as inexpensive as one might have thought when coming to Central America. Enjoy please.

We asked the young man in the hotel what he would recommend if he had a few days left in Costa Rica and he suggested the 3.5 hr ride to the Pacific coast village of Quepos and then up the hill to "The Falls" in Manuel Antonio. The choice was a good one for sure for we were able to enjoy some time on the beaches as well as experience other things of interest; ok, riding a zip line was one of those trips taken while on the coast. One time thing for this writer for sure. Hope you enjoy some of the pics from this coastal community.
